Recently schools across the country started banning dangerous activities such as dodge ball, and tag.

Now we have another scourge of childhood that is going to go the way of the dodo, liberty and common sense.

Hugging.

Now for The Rant:

What kind of kids are we raising? With the reports yesterday out of The Boston Herald about doctors gathering lifestyle information about people from their children during exams to the insane tales of playgrounds banning dodge ball and tag, and now hugs, I fear we are creating a generation of pussified cry-babies that will be more than willing to prattle on to authorities about every little thing that scares them or that is deemed "wrong" or "dangerous."

Here's a short story for you. A friend of mine has a little sister. She was 12 when this happened. This little sister started being a bit rambunctious. Dad put down the hammer and grounded her and threatened, THREATENED to spank her. But the lovely teachers at her school informed her and her classmates that "your parents can't hit you and if they do or say they are going to then call child protective services."

So she did. They came out and told dad in no uncertain terms, "you can't spank her, and if you do we will take her away and put you in jail."

Result? One unruly child that once stated in front of me "You can't tell me what to do or else you will go to jail" as she walked her 14 year old ass out the door at 10 at night to go to a friends house. My advice to dad was give her tough love. Call the cops and have her picked up.

We are raising a generation of sissified cry babies, children brought up with government intrusion and direction at every turn, brainwashed to believe that government is the cure for all that ails you, there from the cradle to the grave.

We are creating a generation of children that, quite simply put, cannot think for themselves. It has been said that Freedom is only one generation from disappearing, that it must be nurtured like a flame lest it go out.

I fear we are watching the last flickering flames of freedom, and when they go out the world will truly be a dark, cold and scary place.

Pennsylvania Newspapers Pretend There is No Direction to Mecca

In September 2005, a half dozen different bloggers verified that a person facing into what was originally called the Crescent of Embrace memorial to Flight 93 would be facing almost exactly at Mecca. Some surrounding trees have been added to the design, but the giant central crescent remains completely intact in the Bowl of Embrace redesign:



With Tom Burnett Sr. condemning the crescent design and refusing to allow Tom Jr.'s name to be used, there is now a big public controversy in western Pennsylvania over whether the giant crescent really is oriented on Mecca. In response, the Memorial Project has decided to deny that there is any such thing as the direction to Mecca, and Pittsburgh's two major newspapers are both backing up this transparent falsehood.

Professor Daniel Griffith, who is serving as a consultant to the Memorial Project, told the Post Gazette that: "anything can point toward Mecca, because the earth is round." …

He made similar statements to the Pittsburg Tribune Review and the Johnstown Tribune Democrat. None of these papers asked for a second opinion from any of the one billion Muslims who face Mecca five times a day for prayer, and it isn't that the media has been duped by Griffith.



Editors and reporters at both the Post Gazette and the Tribune Review are fully aware that a host of bloggers have independently verified the Mecca orientation of the crescent design. It was actually the Tribune Review that first commissioned Professor Griffith to analyze the blogosphere's Mecca-orientation claims. Alec Rawls, who has written a book about the many Islamic and terrorist memorializing features in the crescent design, has a copy of Griffith's report for the Tribune Review posted online. The first thing Griffith does is calculate the direction to Mecca:

I computed an azimuth value from the Flight 93 crater site to Mecca of roughly 55.20°.

"Azimuth" is the technical term for "direction," measured in degrees clockwise from north. Now Griffith is denying that there is any such thing as the direction to Mecca, and the Tribune Review refuses to tell its readers that Griffith is contradicting the report that he wrote for them.

The Post Gazette is even more outrageous. Rawls was told by Post Gazette reporter Paula Ward that she and her editors saw all the blog posts on the Mecca orientation of the Crescent of Embrace back in September 2005 and decided not to publish this explosive information. (Crescent of Betrayal, download 3, p. 108.) At the same time, the Post Gazette was running editorials that called critics of the crescent paranoid bigots:

But like those who look at innocent kids trick-or-treating at Halloween and see only the devil's work, a few small and suspicious minds couldn't look past the crescent to see a remarkably sensitive design.

When Tom Burnet Sr. asked the American people last month to please take his and Mr. Rawls' warnings about the crescent design seriously, the Post Gazette responded with an editorial titled: "Efforts to sully Flight 93 memorial deserve scorn."

What is the significance of a crescent that a person faces into to face Mecca? Such a structure is called a mihrab, and is the central feature around which every mosque is built. That is why the surrounding trees added in the Bowl of Embrace redesign do nothing to alter the Islamic significance of the design. You can plant as many trees around a mosque as you want and it will still be a mosque.

One local paper actually did fact-check the orientation of the giant crescent and validated the Mecca orientation claim in print, but the larger papers are all refusing to pass this fact checking on, or to do their own, even though it is simple one-two operation. All that Tribune Democrat reporter Kirk Swauger had to do was use the Mecca direction calculator at Islam.com to print out a graphic of the direction to Mecca from Somerset PA, then place this print out over the Crescent of Embrace site-plan PDF on his computer screen:



The green circle, marked with the qibla direction (the direction to Mecca), is from Islam.com. Graphic shows that a person standing at the midpoint between the most obtruding tips of the crescent structure and facing into the center of the crescent (red arrow), will be facing almost exactly at Mecca. (Hat tip Sarah Wells.)

As Swauger put it in his news article:

[Rawls'] claims seem to be backed up by coordinates for the direction of qibla from Somerset that can be found on Islam.com. When superimposed over the crescent in the memorial design, the midpoint points over the Arctic Circle, through Europe toward Mecca.

Having suppressed this information for two years, Pittsburgh's major newspapers are desperate to keep it suppressed now, or they will be ruined. Thus they find themselves camped out on the very spot that the blogosphere ranged with its artillery two years ago. They know full well that the Mecca-orientation of the crescent has been verified numerous times and are counting on their control of public information to keep this knowledge from getting out to the general public.

The challenge to bloggers could not be more overt. Can the blogosphere retrieve its earlier fact checking from the memory hole and bust these news frauds? Easy and permanent access to existing fact checking is the blogosphere's natural advantage, but we still have to take advantage of it.

What was Paul Murdoch, the design's architect, thinking? What was his ulterior motive? When controversy over the original name "Crescent of Embrace" and the bald Islamic symbol planted on the crash site brought a public outcry, the entire memorial was hastily re-titled "40 Memorial Groves."

As Alec is apt to do, he's having some fun with this: So why only 38 Memorial Groves?

Refugees pose 'potential crisis'

Now this headline could come from anywhere, but when I tell you where it comes from you're gonna say "WTF, mate?"

When I tell you who the "refugees" are your gonna laugh at the utter stupidity of it all.

The headline comes from CANADA, and it's about (drumroll please) MEXICAN ILLEGAL ALIENS FLEEING THE U.S.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG.I.CAN'T.STOP.LAUGHING!!!

Seriously. Illegal aliens from Mexico are fleeing into Canada due to pressure from the Dept of Homeland Security, and the Canadians don't know how to handle it.

Can you think of anything more surreal?

“Maybe they’ll have compassion for us, all we want to do is live and follow the rules and work hard. What we didn’t have in the United States we had here in a second.”

Ohohoh...I am so heartbroken that Manuel "Labore" Gonzales couldn't find peace and quiet in the U.S. after sneaking in here and living ILLEGALLY!!!!

But here's my favorite part of the article:

Carina Gonzalez, who drove her red Suburban from Naples a few weeks ago, said she had lived in the United States for 10 years. When she reached a customs agent as she crossed into Canada, she recalled, she felt deeply nervous but also relieved.

Ms. Gonzalez said that she had worked in a grocery store in the United States but that her employers had been asking more and more questions about her documents and her legal status.

“I could smell the freedom when I crossed over,” said Ms. Gonzalez, 25. “I don’t know what’s going to happen next, but the pressure of worrying about getting caught never let you sleep well.”

Now, first off she had a suburban. By far not a cheap car to own or run, even if it is an older model. Second, she was living in the U.S. for 10 years, working at a grocery store....you know...one of those jobs that Americans just won't do?

So she could smell the freedom in Canada that she couldn't smell in the U.S.? Good deal.......let's tell all of the illegal aliens about this "asylum" and let canada worry about deporting them by the millions and while they are busy doing that we can build our wall. BTW Carina.....I am glad you lost sleep while you were a "guest" in our country.....maybe if more people felt scared to be here illegally it wouldn't happen so much.

One last thing. The fellow at the Jerusalem Haiti Community Center that is charging these illegals 300 bux to fill our a refugee application and giving them directions to canada? Brilliant. Wish I had thought of it. Sheer Genius, good for America and capitalistic all in one swell foop.

Over at the daily POS (whom I refuse to link to) one of the leftists "diarists" (which is funny because that word is so close to "diarrhea", which is what basically spews from their pot-holes that constantly yak and lie) has finally admitted what we have been saying all along:

Well we knew this. We've been saying for awhile that they can't make rationale decisions and are cowards.

Six years ago today our country was attacked by islamic extremists.

The attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, and the failed attack on the White House were, to date, the most successful attack yet by the islamists that have declared war on us, vowing to destroy us and make the world islamic.

We are facing a dedicated and ruthless foe who believe they are doing G-ds work and are blessed in their actions, and they will not stop until we defeat them on every front around the entire globe. Our first and best defense against this threat is to hunt them down and kill them, alot, where ever they are hiding at, without apology, without mercy and without fail.

To do anything less is to invite more attacks.

These are the people who follow an ideology rooted in a backwards, misogynistic, 8th century religion, a group that has not only vowed our destruction and subjugation, but have shown us, in stark detail what happens to those that don't go along with their plan or oppose them, as evidenced by Daniel Pearl and so many others whom we have watched being beheaded while tied up and held down, screaming, then gurgling for their lives.

These are the sick bastards that teach their children that the highest action they can take is strapping on a bomb vest and blowing themselves up in a pizza joint or a bus full of innocents, and killing just one Jew is the surest way to curry favor with their damnable moon god and find paradise.

These people are mentally ill. Being a parent my number one job is protecting my child, not teaching him that killing himself is OK as long as he takes at least other person whom we think is evil with him. What kind of mindset must it take to raise your child to destroy themselves while killing another human being?

And today, of all days, should be the day that we remember not only those who have fallen in this war, but why we are fighting this war, and what the cost of defeat will be.

We are fighting this war on every front we can, while trying to teach the arab world that there is a better way, if they could only let go of old hatreds and learn to work together.

Frankly I think that may be a mistake. Personally I think we should institute a new policy of going after the families of suicide bombers. We should teach these barbaric assholes that if you are going to try to get to paradise by blowing yourself up, then we will do everything in our power to make sure that every family member we can find will follow you as soon as possible.

No more of this "I go to paradise and mom gets money" crap. It needs to be "I go to paradise and mom and little sister and uncle habib and auntie samira and little cousin achmed get it too."

And this weekend, in our nations capital, thousands will march demanding an end to this war, completely ignoring the fact that they are basically calling for the defeat of our troops in the field, and further endangering our country, all the while claiming to support those very same troops, the troops that are out fighting the islamic militant bastards that would see us destroyed and subjugated and bowing in fear of being beheaded.

By my quick calculations that is 2191 days.

Two thousand nine hundred and seventy four people are listed as killed that day in those attacks.

We are going to be at war a lot longer too, and many more people are going to die, and many of them are going to fall into the "innocent" category. I would prefer if those on the innocent side were not part of the casualties, but since that is inevitable then may it be the ones that support those that stand against us, and not those that stand with us.

Never forget. May God Bless Our soldiers, our country and our freedom, and give us the will and courage to fight always against the foes that would see us enslaved or dead.

I must say that this pilot has it dead on. It's a letter from a airline pilot (supposedly, as I haven't vetted it, and even if it is not from a pilot or the fellow doesn't exist it hits the nail on the head anyway) to American Muslims.

I've been trying to say this since 9-11, but you worry me. I wish you didn't. I wish when I walked down the streets of this country that I love, that your color and culture still blended with the beautiful human landscape we enjoy in this country.

But you don't blend in anymore. I notice you, and it worries me. I notice you because I can't help it anymore. People from your homelands, professing to be Muslims, have been attacking and killing my fellow citizens and our friends for more than 20 years now. I don't fully understand their grievances and hate, but I know that nothing can justify the inhumanity of their attacks.

On September 11, nineteen ARAB-MUSLIMS hijacked four jetliners in my country. They cut the throats of women in front of children and brutally stabbed to death others. They took control of those planes and crashed them into buildings killing thousands of proud fathers, loving sons, wise grandparents, elegant daughters, best friends, favorite coaches, fearless public servants, and children's mothers.

The Palestinians Celebrated, the Iraqis were overjoyed as was most of the Arab world. So, I notice you now. I don't want to be worried. I don't want to be consumed by the same rage and hate and prejudice that have destroyed the soul of these terrorists. But I need your help. As a rational American, trying to protect my country and family in an irrational and unsafe world, I must know how to tell the difference between you, and the Arab/Muslim terrorist.

How do I differentiate between the true Arab / Muslim-Americans and the Arab Muslim terrorists in our communities who are attending our schools, enjoying our parks, and living in OUR communities under the protection of OUR constitution, while they plot the next attack that will slaughter these same good neighbors and children?

The events of September 11th changed the answer. It is not my responsibility to determine which of you embraces our great country, with ALL of its religions, with ALL of its different citizens, with all of its faults. It is time for every Arab/Muslim in this country to determine it for me.

I want to know, I demand to know, and I have a right to know, whether or not you love America? Do you pledge allegiance to its flag? Do you proudly display it in front of your house, or on your car? Do you pray in your many daily prayers that Allah will bless this nation, that He will protect and prosper it? Or do you pray that Allah will destroy it in one of your Jihads? Are you thankful for the freedom that only this nation affords? A freedom that was paid for by the blood of hundreds of thousands of patriots who gave their lives for this country? Are you willing to preserve this freedom by also paying the ultimate sacrifice? Do you love America?

If this is your commitment, then I need YOU to start letting ME know about it.

Your Muslim leaders in this nation should be flooding the media at this time with hard facts on your faith, and what hard actions you are taking as a community and as a religion to protect the United States of America.

Please, no more benign overtures of regret for the death of the innocent because I worry about who you regard as innocent. No more benign overtures of condemnation for the unprovoked attacks because I worry about what is unprovoked to you. I am not interested in any more sympathy. I am only interested in action.

What will you do for America - our great country - at this time of crisis, at this time of war?

I want to see Arab-Muslims waving the AMERICAN flag in the streets. I want to hear you chanting "Allah Bless America " I want to see young Arab/Muslim men enlisting in the military. I want to see a commitment of money, time, and emotion to the victims of this butchering and to this nation as a whole.

The FBI has a list of over 400 people they want to talk to regarding the WTC attack. Many of these people live and socialize right now in Muslim communities. You know them. You know where they are. Hand them over to us, now! But I have seen little even approaching this sort of action. Instead I have seen an already closed and secretive community close even tighter. You have disappeared from the streets. You have posted armed security guards at your facilities. You have threatened lawsuits. You have screamed for protection from reprisals. The very few Arab/Muslim representatives that HAVE appeared in the media were defensive and equivocating.

They seemed more concerned with making sure that the United States proves who was responsible before taking action. They seemed more concerned with protecting their fellow Muslims from violence directed towards them in the United States and abroad than they did with supporting our country and denouncing "leaders" like Khadafi, Hussein, Farrakhan, and Arafat.

If the true teachings of Islam proclaim tolerance and peace and love for all people, then I want chapter and verse from the Koran and statements from popular Muslim leaders to back it up. What good is it if the teachings in the Koran are good, and pure, and true, when your "leaders" are teaching fanatical interpretations, terrorism, and intolerance?

It matters little how good Islam SHOULD BE if huge numbers of the world's Muslims interpret the teachings of Mohammed incorrectly and adhere to a degenerative form of the religion. A form that has been demonstrated to us over and over again. A form whose structure is built upon a foundation of violence, death, and suicide. A form whose members are recruited from the prisons around the world. A form whose members (some as young as five years old) are seen day after day, week in and week out, year after a year, marching in the streets around the world, burning effigies of our presidents, burning the American flag, shooting weapons into the air. A form whose members convert from a peaceful religion, only to take up arms against the great United States of America, the country of their birth. A form whose rules are so twisted, that their traveling members refuse to show their faces at airport security checkpoints, in the name of Islam.

We will NEVER allow the attacks of September 11, or any others for that matter, to take away that which is so precious to us: Our rights under the greatest constitution in the world.

I want to know where every Arab Muslim in this country stands and I think it is my right and the right of every true citizen of this country to demand it. A right paid for by the blood of thousands of my brothers and sisters who died protecting the very constitution that is protecting you and your family. I am pleading with you to let me know.

I want you here as my brother, my neighbor, my friend, as a fellow American.

But there can be no gray areas or ambivalence regarding your allegiance and it is up to YOU, to show ME, where YOU stand. Until then. "YOU WORRY ME!"

Many of you have probably received invites from your other friends to join the social networking site called "Quechup" but you won't get one from me for several reasons.

One, I am not signing up for anything else, whether its free or not. Apologies to all of the diggsters out there, but I won't be "digging" your articles. I have too many username/password combos to remember now. Since I don't join up with every invite that comes into my email box I wasn't inadvertently spamming my entire address book, which is what quechup is doing to gather new members.

Many social networking sites ask if they can look in your address book to find your contacts that may be members, but quechup takes it to a whole new level, spamming your entire address book with invites that appear to be from you WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION!!!!

Curious as to who the hell owns this site, I went over to quechup, and in the bottom of the page they have a link called "Investor Relations."

Clicking on that link will take you to this page where you will find a "contact us" link at the bottom of the page.

That takes you to this page which lists

Nineteen million nine hundred ninety nine thousand nine hundred and ninety eight to go.

Dr Gene Rogers, the former Medical Director of Sacramento County's Indigent Services program has been fired for questioning why illegals are given non emergency health care while our own citizens go without.

In a negative work review Program Manager Nancy Gilberti wrote:

"I am concerned that you continue to focus on patients' immigration status, which is outside your and [the] program's purview."

Mrs. Gilberti's remarks reflect a prevailing culture that has emerged in government: a culture that will not tolerate anyone who dares to draw a distinction between American citizens and illegal immigrants. It is a culture that now pervades police departments, public schools and universities, social services and health care.

Dr Rogers has filed a lawsuit, which is currently in appeal in Federal Court. Last year a nervous Latino Legislative Caucus in California pushed through a special bill by state Sen. Deborah Ortiz that explicitly allows counties to "opt" to provide non-emergency medical care to illegal immigrants.

Dr Rogers explains:

"I've seen cases and case histories of patients who essentially have come up from Mexico for the express purpose of being treated here, and then leaving to return home. I've watched illegal immigrants brazenly demand free, non-emergency health care that was meant for our poorest citizens. I've heard them and their families complain. They feel entitled to it."

That the state bureaucrats continued to provide services to illegals while cutting budgets is a travesty of justice and complete failure to do their actual job, which is taking care of CITIZENS.

For those that do not understand the difference between a citizen and an illegal let me clarify. Citizen are those here legally, those born here and those naturalized here (although those born here to illegal parents should not be citizens, but we'll work on getting the 14th Amendment re-interpreted later), while those that are illegal are those that sneak into the country without permission.

The fact that our citizens are not being taken care of while illegals are demanding and getting non emergency medial care is bad, but the fact that the medical director loses his job over demanding that our bureaucrats do their job and follow the law is an injustice.

But now for the meat of the post.

This smacks of.....RACISM.

That's right, I said it. A white guy speaks out about illegals (mostly mexican) getting free non emergency health care while his fellow citizens went without is fired by people in a bureaucracy that actively works to give away services to illegals while taking them away from our citizens, who are the rightful recipients of our tax dollars.

So now we have white guys that are speaking out against injustice and illegal activities being fired for his courage while the Legal Mexican Mafia comes up with special bills that make those illegal activities appear more legit all the while stealing non emergency health care away from the tax paying citizens of this state while giving it to mexcian citizens for free.

No wonder they march in our streets demanding rights and feel entitled to free health care, education and housing.

How long are we going to let this travesty continue?

For just two of the most recent examples go see Theodore's World and read about a story of some CAIR representatives knocking on a former Marines door one night to "dialogue" with him about his bumper sticker, which read "Jesus Loves You, Allah Wants You Dead." Had a couple of Christians knocked on the door of some muslim guy at night to "dialogue" with him about a bumper sticker it would be called a "hate crime" with CAIR screaming loudly for sensitivity training at the least if not outright jail time.

Example number two comes from Florida, where a late night TV Preacher talked about islam in his show a few too many times for the local CAIR branch, so they whined to CBS to get him pulled off of the air, and dhimmis that they are, they complied. Mind you nobody said this preacher threatened anyone or lied, instead they claimed he disparaged islam.

Free Speech for Me, but Not for Thee seems to be the message here.

So here's what I propose. We either make the goal line for the white guys out at, oh I don't know, maybe the five yard line, or we give the white guys an extra couple of points for actually scoring a touchdown.

We could do that same for basketball. Give the white guys three point instead of two for a regular shot, four for something past the three point line and two for a free throw.

Maybe even let it carry over to baseball huh? Or for white guys shorten up the baseline to maybe 80 feet instead of 90.

..well, not really. After all one cannot say farewell to a species that is now extinct.

The Yangtze River Dolphin, one of only four exclusively fresh water dolphins in the world is now "functionally extinct" says a scientist that conducted a six week 2000 mile survey of the Yangtze river without spotting even one of the creatures.

This is exacerbated by China's explosive growth, lax environmental rules and large hydrological projects.

One the one hand this doesn't bode well for China, as a river that can't sustain the dolphin probably won't be able to sustain people either. That's just common sense.

On the other hand I am not going to feel bad about the chinese getting into a bind. They made their bed, now they gotta sleep in it. Maybe if they are busy trying to figure out how to take care of the 6% of the worlds population that lives next to the Yangtze they'll be too busy to continue to build up their military with an eye towards being the big kid on the block.

And that can't be a bad thing for us.

On the third hand (hey, whaddya want? River pollution does funny things) this just shows that animals that can adapt will survive, and those that can't don't.

I mean, come on, the damned thing was mostly blind and relied on sonar for finding food? So what did we lose here? I blind mammal.

There is a reason that animals have eyes, and those that lose that sense usually end up dying because of it.

Socialism takes away the greatness of the human spirit. Without the possibility of abject failure the possibility of true success cannot be possible.

Imagine a ladder. Imagine a wall that stretches for infinity and has ladders all along it.

In your system the ladders are ten feet tall, at a 45 degree angle and bolted to a wall and there are cushions beneath it. All but the most inept creatures make it up their ladder, to mingle with all of the others that have made it up their ladder.

Where is the glory? Where are the people that have conquered adversity to rise up and shine as an example for the rest of us?

In your system, they simply don't exist.

Now imagine that wall is now higher than you can see. It disappears into the clouds, and lining it are ladders leaning up close to the wall, not bolted on, and there are no cushions below to break your fall. Once you start climbing the ladder you find that every so often there is a level place where you can step off and stay if you wish. But you find that the higher you climb, the more enjoyable are the amenities.

Which ladder do you want to try to climb?

I want to climb that ladder into the clouds. Oh sure, I know I may fall, but the rewards are greater the higher I climb. I don't want to climb the little ladder and be mingling with the people that also made it up that ladder. Where is the glory in that?

Where is the greatness of the human spirit?

You folks that believe we should have a more equal outcome, and that life isn't fair, want to set up the system to give everyone short ladders on an easy climb.

And that is because you are cowards.

You are so scared of actually failing that you want to live in a system that takes away the possibility of failure, and to hide that cowardice you hide your intentions in alleged goals of "helping our fellow man."

Help them do what? Be mediocre? Be run of the mill? Help them be just like everyone else? Help them be cowardly like you?

You socialists are so craven that you cringe at the thought of anyone actually succeeding, and hide behind platitudes and feel good language all the while hoping that nobody realizes what weak creatures you really are, and you sit around with a smug air of superiority that deep down you know is a hypocritical lie, and you grow to hate yourselves for it.

A Kansas Minister, Kenneth Davis, in Florida for a Gospel Conference, reported not feeling well at the end of his flight and was placed into a wheel chair and set on the curb by airline employees, where he sat for three days, suffered a stroke and almost died.

The airline Air Tran, (formerly ValueJet, remember them?) has not responded to inquiries yet.

From one of the reports:

"He urinated on himself and his clothes were soiled but he was dressed in nice clothes -- didn't look bummy or anything like that," daughter Melinda Davis said.

"And nobody noticed him?" Local 6's Erik von Ancken asked.

"No one noticed," Davis said. "(He was found) curbside of the sidewalk where you catch a taxi where people walk by. Several people walked by."

The family said Davis suffered a stroke during the days sitting outside the airport.

"He is alive but unfortunately he did suffer a stroke and we feel like it contributed a lot to him being in the heat," son Kenneth Davis said.

A spokesman for the airport said he could not be certain that Davis sat in the same spot for such a long time and said "it doesn't seem plausible," von Ancken reported.

Davis remains in an Orlando hospital and is barely able to speak, the report said.

The family is asking for surveillance video to determine how long Davis was sitting outside the facility.

The incident is under investigation.

I will be very interested to see if he was in the same place the whole time. I am also betting that someone gets involved and claims racism somehow contributed to this sorry state of affairs, and the first person that does so should be roundly criticized for taking away from the real problem here. The real problem is that people seem to be in such a hurry and so self involved that they don't take the time to talk to anyone anymore.

I cannot imagine sitting in one place for three days so heavily traveled and not have anyone ask me what I was doing there. Especially if I were an elderly gentleman.

I pray Kenneth Davis heals quickly, and I hope that the airport has learned a valuable lesson and maybe in the future when the security guards see someone sitting around teh airport for days on end they will have the decency to check on them.

Remember when you were a kid and you and your friends got together and built a fort? Whether off in a field or built into the spreading branches of a tree, the childhood is something that most of us built, cobbling together scraps of wood from where we could beg, borrow or steal them, usually giving it a name and granting the privilege of entry to our friends and barring those icky girls and the nerd from around the block.

That is the spirit of America.

Rugged invidualism. Doing for oneself. That's the American Way.

And now the laft along with many, many unthinking Americans that simply go on feelings want to ruin that decidedly American mindset.

Let me sum this up for you.

The Government doesn't owe you anything beyond making sure you are safe from foreign aggression and that the roads between states are paved. In fact, beyond the interstate highways that actually run between states the federal government should not be involved in roads at all.

They also should not be involved in education, healthcare, business grants, or any of the other myriad things they have stuck there hands into, and while I am on tghings they shouldn't be involved in let's add "low cost housing", which is theft of my money to give housing to lazy, ignorant criminally minded cretins that, if life had a shred of justice, would be living under a bridge.

Americans have lost that attitude that hard work leads to its own rewards. Most of them it seems would rather sit back and let the government take care of them. There is precious little left of that attitude that had men standing proud, no matter how little they had compared to their neighbor, simply because they had worked an honest job to get what they had.

When the going got tough before the depression, people picked up and moved on, looking for better opportunities elsewhere, and making a life for themselves, often struggling for years, even putting their children to work at times.

These days when the going gets tough people whine that the government must do more.

It is precisely this mindset that will be the end of this great country.

You, my friend, are living in the last great days of a grand experiment that looks as if it will fail. And it will fail because the nature of humans as we have evolved have overtaken the ideals that founded this nation. The ideals that free men making their own destiny was not only a good idea but the way that God wanted us to live.

We have slipped away from the noble ideals that birthed this nation, falling for a feel-good-anything-goes-secularism that denies the spiritual aspect of life in favor of the materialistic. It is now more important to get all you can no matter what, as opposed to getting what you earn and being happy with it.

This, above all, shall be our downfall.

Why fight it anymore?

Hillary is apparently up in the polls, and many are saying she will be our next president, with all of the attendant socialized medicine (which will kill our medical establishment and ruin my healthcare) and stealing from all of the people that made money on the stock market to give it to those too stupid or lazy to make a better life for themselves.

What that will do of course is take away money from private corporations because there won't be an incentive to invest your money for a return on stocks through dividends which in turn means that companies won't have as much working capital to expand and improve which means people will be put out of work which is fine with the dems because they will help you anyway, even if their policies put you in the poor house in the first place.

So why fight it?

I am going to join the far left socialists. I figure they can get me an apartment, a small stipend for food (which I will dutifully use to sit around a coffee shop with wifi and bitch about the capitalists all day while writing bad protest poetry) and a bus pass. Once a month I can go down to the unemployment office and toss in the proof that I am looking for a job so my "benefits" will continue. In the meantime when I do go look for a job I won't bathe, I will talk in slang and be slothful and nobody will hire me.

Doesn't matter though because the dems will take care of me.

I will sit and sneer at all of you boobs that go work for the military-industrial complex and write long rambling missives about how much better it is that I sit and rail against an unfair system rather than bing a productive citizen.

And the dems will take care of me.

I will use my government money and bus pass to go to protests against multi national corporations that have invested money in great tracts of forest with the goal of employing people and turning a profit and chant loudly that they are killing some owl I will never lay eyes on while completely ignoring the fact that several people are now out of work and their children don't have enough food or healthcare due to the actions of me and my shortsighted compatriots.

And the dems will take care of me.

I will stand outside of a prison at midnight, yelling about the evil state taking the life of a convicted murderer, never once giving a thought to the family of the murder victims, and not letting a shred of wonder at some kid growing up with out his dad and what that must have done to him.

And the dems will take care of me.

I will do all I can to stop the evil oil companies from exploiting the land to build refineries in an attempt to bring cheaper gas to the masses. They should all ride the bus like I do. The freedom to go where you want when you want must be tempered with the environment and the good of the whole kept in mind. You don't need that car. It would probably do you good to walk anyway, lardass. You should be riding the bus like me and the other slacke....errr...people that care about the future of humanity.

And still the dems will take care of me.

Finally I will demand that they pay for my schooling, so I can be trained to be a productive member of society, and I will get a degree in 15th century spanish poetry, and learn to say "Would you like fries with that?"

And still the dems will take care of me.

And when, at the end of a long life of living under a socialist umbrella, when I die and have nothing but an old bed in a shitty apartment, a laptop, a bus pass and a "Buy 10 get the next one free" card from my local coffee house, the government can pay for a paupers funeral, tossing me into a mass grave along with all of the other railing, coffee addicted bad poets that keeled over on the Number 12 bus that week.

We have a large group of people in this country these days that don't believe we should fight against our enemies.

We have a large group of people in this country that have bought into the socialist belief that it is the governments job to take care of everyone, that it is not the individuals job to decide how they want to live their life or how successful they wish to be but rather it is the governments job to make sure that outcomes are equal.

We have a large group of people that believe it is unfair for one man to have so much less than another man, and to that end we must steal from the man that produces and give to the man that doesn't, because that man has a larger house and more income, and it just isn't fair.

That is the antithesis of The American Way.

Allow me to explain why socialist policies destroy the greatness of the human spirit.

In a society that gives a man the ability to truly succeed the possibility of abject failure must be present. If one is guaranteed by the government that they will provide food, shelter and healthcare no matter what, a false floor is created. The necessary counter to this false floor is a false ceiling. Somebody must pay for that floor. Now if you have a guaranteed level that you cannot fall below, in essence a line you cannot fall beneath, what is "success" in that system worth?

This mindset is mirrored in todays youth sports, where everyone gets a trophy no matter what happens or where their team finishes. This is teaching nothing more than "all you have to do is try and you will be rewarded." This is not how life works.

In the wild trying doesn't get the bear dinner. Actually getting dinner is the only thing that gets the bear dinner. So in society should it be the same. Trying to make a life for yourself is not the same as doing it. Just getting up and going to work everyday should not be sufficient to be successful. Success should come with hard work, ambition and some luck.

Stealing from the producers to give to those that don't produce not only is an evil action, but is one that lessens the greatness of humanity. For if we are artificially propping up those with no ambition, we are diluting our pool of worthwhile humans.

Now at this point I am sure that many people are going to scream, but that fact is this; Some People Are Worthless.

People that lack ambition, people that are prone to be criminals, people that basically are a drain on society bring us all down through their lifestyles and bad choices. Frankly these folks shouldn't even be allowed to breed, but they do, and copiously I might add.

And herein lies our problem.

Look at it like this; The average IQ is 100....half of the people are stupider than that....and they vote.

Follow home a stupid kid and you will find stupid parents.

Water seeks its own level, therefore stupid people breed with stupid people, and they tend to breed a lot.

Therefore the stupid to smart ratio is growing at an ever faster rate.

With this ratio growing at an ever faster rate, what is the shot that we can stay where we are as a nation?

If we enact more and more socialist policies how are we eventually going to pay for them when everyone gets what they need provided by the government, thereby taking away all incentive to actually work and produce something of value for society?

People on the left have this idea that people are basically good at heart, but I have seen too much of humanity to believe such simplistic ideas, and know that when you take away the incentive to succeed people will sit back and take what they can get.

When we no longer have the ability to truly succeed, and fighting for a better life is no longer possible because the government will provide for your basic needs we will not have a great country, but one where everyone does the bare minimum to get by, for at that point when you can only go so far in life no matter how hard you try what becomes the point of trying?

Think about that.

Yes Amtrak Sucks!!! It is probably amazing to you that a subsidized public transport system using antiquated equipment and surly employees who know their jobs are secure and therefore don't care about making you a happy customer could possibly suck but when I say Amtrak Sucks I mean that Amtrak sucks in the worst way it is possible for anything to suck.

To quote that great Animated American Homer J. Simpson, "They are the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked a sucked."

Have you ever been bent over a table full of spikes, with car jumper cables hooked to a battery clamped on your nipples while a bear trap was clamped around your nuts?

Figuratively speaking, that is exactly where I am at the moment of the writing of this post.

It all started a couple of weeks ago when my GF looked up flight info for Screamy and I to go visit my Dad, Grandma and various other relatives. On a lark I decided to check Amtrak.

I was surprised to find that the Amtrak ticket was very affordable, and the thought of spending some quality time with my boy for a couple of days and seeing the countryside was enticing, so the plans were made, tickets reserved and bags packed.

So the GF, Screamy and myself toddled off to Union Station in L.A. via the Metrolink. Once at the station we grabbed our tickets through the automatic ticket machine, then had to wait in line to check baggage. Forty five minutes in line to find out that the sign that said “Check Baggage Here” really meant that for our train baggage did not get checked, but thank you for choosing Amtrak.

I should have known then that the clusterfucks of all grand clusterfucks was commencing. After standing in another line to receive a boarding pass we stood in yet another line in hopes of being one of the first people to get to the train.

As I said, clusterfuck.

When the line was allowed to head to the train for boarding it was everymen for himself, and those that got to the line late but with very little baggage shot past those of us that had been standing there for over an hour.

So we said good bye to the GF, who stayed home to care for the dogs and such.

I won’t bore you with all the little details, as I was actually having a good time traveling on the train. The (eventual) six hour delay and lack of smoky treat time notwithstanding, it was a fun trip.

Up until we hit San Antonio Texas.

You see, I paid extra for the privilege of staying on one train, mostly due to the fact that I knew we would get to San Anton in the wee hours and waking a 7 year old to move from train to train is not my idea of a good time.

Apparently it IS the idea of a good time to someone at Amtrak who decided that we would be leaving the train car we were traveling in at the station in San Anton and switching trains at O dark thirty.

Up to this point I had not uttered one word of complaint. This was about to drastically change. After fighting the crowd, moving our gear and then not being able to sit together (our assigned seats suddenly didn’t seem to apply) I called customer service.

I wanted my money back. Not all of it mind you, just the 30 or so extra I paid for the privilege of not having to hump my gear and a seven year old to another train.

Let me say that the person at customer service that finally picked up the phone to help me was a unique individual whose level of indifference to my anger at having thirty dollars stolen from me was unable to be measured by any instrument yet made.

And it turns out that Amtrak doesn’t refund tickets that have already been traveled on. They do however issue credits, good for applying to a future trip on the Official Train of the Second Level of Hell.

Now at this point I am furious, and the last thing I want is a credit to ride this shitbox again. They may as well send me a roll of used toilet paper. At least then I could decorate an Amtrak train.

It should be pointed out that several people were angry before this point, mostly due to delays.

Now once we left San Anton things proceeded smoothly…for awhile.

By “for awhile” I mean about three hours. Down the way at another station we picked up about 70 people, mostly kids, as in under the age of driving kids. As fate would have it they would not be with us long, as at Austin they whisked away in taxicabs to make a connection that our train was suddenly unable to get them to in time.

This of course was just before the announcement stating that we would be sitting in Austin for a couple of hours and would be getting out of there around 2:30. Several people at that point went to the store down the street. The kids I was sitting with had decided to go also, and I took down one of their cell numbers just in case, which is a good thing because about 20 minutes after they left the announcement came over that we were pulling out in 5 minutes.

I went down and let the conductor know that there were people still off of the train, and he said “Then they’re staying off, cuz we’re leaving.”

Great customer service huh?

I called the kids and they literally dropped their items while standing in line at the store and ran back, barely making it onto the train, breathless and sweaty, but others weren’t so lucky. About 4 people were left behind. One, as I understand it, was given a ride on a freight train to catch up with us. The others were given a taxi ride two stations ahead to wait on us. They were waiting for three hours.

So we left Austin and proceeded a couple of miles up the track and stopped there instead, right out where we could sit on the train going nowhere but not get off and smoke. So instead of waiting at the station we went to sit up along the track…. I am still not sure why. Up ahead was a derailed car, and nobody was getting through, but there we sat.

Finally the derailed car was moved and we set out, again, and again things proceeded smoothly….for a short while.

Then we stopped again and were told that a couple of locomotives were “on the ground” and we would be waiting for that to be cleaned up.

At this point jokes were flying and now mottos were being thought up, and one fellow even talked about buying some horses and covered wagons to compete with Amtrak.

Imagine our surprise when we finally got underway. By now the sun was going down and the word was that we were about 7 hours behind. This meant I would be into Malvern sometime around dawn. That would leave me plenty of time to get showered and off to dialysis, which was scheduled for 1 PM in Little Rock, although the dialysis unit had called me the night before and asked me if I could come in early. If we had been on time I could have, and then I would not have had a shortened treatment and spent three days of my vacation feeling crappy.

We blasted through the night, wheels clacking and the train swaying and finally, FINALLY it seemed as if we had an actual train trip going. I should have known that would not last. About 4:30 AM we pulled into Texarkana, a town obviously named by people on the border of Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana that seriously lacked imagination when it came to place names.

I called my dad at that point to let him know we hit Texarkana, which gave him about an hour and a half to get to Malvern. I rolled over and went back to sleep, figuring that it would be an hour or so more before we got close to Malvern, my destination

What a surprise when I awoke an hour later to find that we were in…… Texarkana……and the train was quiet…almost too quiet….in fact it was stifling. That’s when I realized the AC was out. I made my way down the train and found the kids I had been hanging out with, (in all fairness they weren’t actually “kids”, but at my age anyone born in a year you can remember qualifies as a “kid.”) and found out we had lost the generator to the train, and we had no toilets either.

I called Dad back and caught him about to leave for Malvern. Shortly after that we started moving again, after an announcement about the dead generator and some ephemeral plan about getting another engine hooked up from another train.

Had I known then what I know now I would have taken myself off of the train in Texarkana and waited for a ride. Not too long after dawn we stopped on the tracks as the crew tried to hook up another locomotive to ours so we could have flushing toilets and AC once again.

Finally they succeeded in that endeavor only to inform us that we now had no brakes.

At this point the crept up the tracks, finally stopping seemingly within longbow distance of Arkadelphia, a town named by people that apparently thought names like Texarkana to be too sane.

It was at this point that I saw one man bail from the train to wade through a ditch full of water and escape in a car that had pulled up on the road alongside of us. I was in contact on the cell with my Dad at this point, and knowing I had to get to my treatment he wandered up and told the conductor my problem. Dad was wearing his “Retired Air Force” hat, and the man he talked to, retired AF also, seemed more than concerned and helpful, from what Dad said. I was paged to the diner car, where the conductor talked to me, got the info and said he would see what he could do about getting me off of the train to get to dialysis.

Yeah that never happened. I paged the conductor again and never got a reply. About an hour later we moved up the few hundred yards to the station, where I met my Dad and headed to dialysis, with the train more than 14 hours late and having to get off of the train one stop before the stop I had paid for.

I can still turn in my unused ticket, and get a refund of 90% of the purchase price, which is what I plan on doing. I am losing money on the train tickets, and will spend more to fly home, but at this point I don’t care.

I will never, EVER ride Amtrak again.

Amtrak absolutely and completely sucks balls. They don’t care if you are happy, their coaches are ugly and falling apart, the food in the dining car is shit (it is actually worse than Denny’s food) and the only bright point on the trip, Kevin, who ran the snack bar in the lounge car, was running out of supplies earlier than I believe he should have.

Amtrak basically screwed me out of about 30 bucks, plus the cost difference between Malvern and Arkadelphia, plus the 10% they won’t refund, and they don’t care. So be forewarned. The service sucks, the cars are old and crappy and falling apart, and Amtrak employees could give a rats ass less about you once they have your money.

With the case of a man in New York being charged with felonies for putting a book in a toilet playing itself out, one must wonder if all of the yelling and screaming going on in the U.S. about having lost civil rights is being done by the wrong people.

The morons on the left scream constantly that we have lost our civil rights under the current administration but can never actually point to one civil right they have lost, while a man in New York puts a koran or two into the toilet and is charged with criminal mischief and aggravated harassment.

Who did he harass? How is criminal mischief a felony? Did the toilet back up and need a plumber to repair it? If so then vandalism would be in order, but if not who did he hurt by his actions?

Oh...some muslims got their feelings hurt? I remember "Piss Christ." So it's ok to denigrate Christianity but not islam? Maybe that's because Christians aren't going around cutting off the heads of non-believers.

It boils down to this. This man didn't steal this koran from someone and toss it in the toilet (as far as we know right now) and since it (seemingly) was his private property he can toss it into a sewage pond for all anyone should care. The fact that the muslim student union and CAIR (allegedly) ARE PUSHING FOR THIS PROSECUTION should scafe the hell out of American citizens.

UPDATE: Apparently the koran was stolen. So nail him for theft and the value of the book. BUt a felony? Come on and have some common sense.

When prosecutors are guided by partisan groups with agendas, instead of the letter of the law, we head down a dark road, one better left untraveled. We are losing our free speech rights in this country, and pretty soon prosecutions for simply stating opinions will be more commonplace.

I just got this email from a dear friend of mine:

I am writing this to ask you all for your help. The help is not for me,it’s for a friend of mine. She is one of the kindest and gentlest souls I have ever known. And she has been given some very hard news.

She has stage 4 cancer and has been given 6 months to live.

Last month she collapsed suddenly and was rushed to a nearby hospital where it was discovered that a tumor covered a third of her brain. Emergency surgery was performed, and while a good portion of it was removed, the docters are 99% sure that it will grow back. She has spent the last month re-learning how to talk and walk only to be given the full truth of her situation once adequately recovered.

She is now in the process of change. She is letting go of all of the things that have not served her in the past that she no longer has the time or energy for. She is looking forward to all of the things she’s ever wanted to do in her life. She is not giving up and is holding on to that 1% left to her.

Her name is Beth and I ask that you add her to your prayers.

Now for the big help. Beth has always wanted to see the Northern Lights. I am putting together a collection to help her go. A friend of hers has a cabin in Canada where there is a good view of them in August. She just needs travel and food money.

In a time in most peoples lives when most people are enjoying relatively decent health and energy and the prospect of watching ones family grow up Beth has been thrown the most horrid of curve balls. Knowing that your days are short will certainly put everything into perspective.

Claudia Alta Taylor Johnson (December 22, 1912 – July 11, 2007) was the wife of former President of the United States Lyndon B. Johnson, and was First Lady of the United States from 1963-1969. From infancy she has been known as Lady Bird.

As First Lady, Johnson started a capital beautification project (Society for a More Beautiful National Capital) to improve physical conditions in Washington, D.C., both for residents and tourists. I have always admired her simply for the fact that she pushed limiting billboards at the side of highways. She feared, (rightfully) that eventually the roads would be lined with billboards and the great views of this wonderful country would be spoiled.

Given recent findings that Greenland once was very green, recently in fact by geologic standards, coupled with the slew of scientists that do not believe in global warming being caused by humans one has to wonder if these morons are reading the same internet.

Now add in the fact that Algore owns a chunk of the biggest carbon credit company out there (BTW, carbon credits are simply a self imposed guilt tax) and that he basically pays himself for his carbon offsets and something really stinks in here, and it isn't the smell of millions of unwashed environutjobs panting breathlessly about how much they save the environment by showering only once every lunar cycle with dew they collect off of the carbon reducing trees they live under next to the overpass.

I think my favorite line of the day was spoken by David Gray, who likened the campaign to save the planet to the threat Britain faced from the Nazis.

No, the campaign to "save the planet" is not a threat like the nazis were. Eventually you idiots out there with your little florescent lights (which I hate because they won't work with a dimmer switch) and all of your recycling (for the record recycling hurts the poor and doesn't pay enough for me to do it) and "green" sensibilities are going to wake up and realize that you are serious fools.

Then instead of greenies we can call you red faced idiots. Seems most of the stuff that the global warming crowd wants to do sounds like old soviet style rules anyway, forcing me to live my life a certain way and taking away my freedom, so red is a better color for you numbnutted twits anyway.

So I will tell you what I am gonna do about global warming:

I will contribute.

That's right, I will contribute to global warming.

I will leave my computer and every 500 watt light bulb on all the damn time.

In fact I have five computers here, and I am gonna make sure they all stay on all the time.

I will continue to not recycle.

I will go out and get a car that guzzles even more gas, and I will alter the exhaust system so I get the maximum amount of EPM (Emissions Per Mile)

I will use as much food that comes pre-packaged and processed as possible. In fact the more packaging the better. I want my food wrapped in a vacuum form container inside of a box that uses no recycled material and I want that box wrapped in shrink wrap plastic, two layers, with tamper proof tape on it that has lead based writing telling me that the tape is there to keep me safe from wackjobs that would poison me, and after this missive I am sure the number of those guys will shoot up some.

I am going to cook over an open fire whenever possible, and if I can, I will try to use wood that has been sprayed with pesticides just so I can release that much more stuff in the atmosphere. In fact I may even start cooking with all of the plastic wrapping that will soon be festooning my house.

I am going to drive everywhere, even to the end of the driveway to get the mail.

I am going to set tires aflame on earth day.

I will let my water hose run all the time, even if I have to let it flood the yard and run down the gutter.

I will let my household faucets stay on, running a stream of water continuously 24-7.....even the bath tub......and I will make sure it is the hot water spigot that is the one running.

I am going to take extra hot, extra long showers......without a water saving nozzle.

I am going to wear my clothes for 15 minutes and immediately wash them on the high water, hot wash, hot rinse setting.

I will make sure to run the dishwasher every time I use a dish....and I will run that on the long hot cycle also.

I will run my AC at 58 degrees all summer, walking around my house in a sweater and ski jacket if I must, but that will be countered by winter, when I will crank the heat up to 88 degrees and lounge around in bermuda shorts.

I will take out all of the trees on my property, and all greenery, and then pay my neighbors to let me take down their trees as well.....then I will use those trees for firewood.

I am going to use one complete roll of toilet paper every time I so much as pass gas.

I am also taking all of the insulation out of my house and replacing the nice new double paned windows with plastic sheeting, on the theory that plastic sheeting is good enough to keep the bugs out.

Better yet I will remove the windows and I will saturate my property with the most noxious chemicals I can get my hands on so that no bugs will live in my yard and be tempted to come into my house.

In short I am going to be the most wasteful SOB on this planet....well, next to Algore, at least..

Independence: freedom from control or influence of another or others.

It is Independence Day. The day that Americans celebrate throwing off the shackles of King George and declaring to the world that we have the God Given right, RIGHT, to decide our own fate, our own destiny and to not be governed by those that think themselves above the law.

The day we celebrate the fact, the FACT mind you, NOT the belief, that ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL.

Pay attention to that word “created” for it plays a large role in how this country was born. All men are equal in the eyes of the law. Nature, however, has always taken quite a different approach to that whole equality thing. It boggles my mind that there is a group of people in this world that can hold beliefs that are directly contradictory to each other. Specifically the liberal stance that man should stay out of “nature” (i.e. everywhere we have not yet built over or paved) yet we cannot let nature takes its course in society and let people succeed or fail on their own merits, that it isn’t “fair” that some people have more than others, never mind that some people are naturally smarter, or more ambitious or luckier than others.

That ideal, that we must take from those that have, those that earn and give it to those that don’t have or earn is patently un-American, and at its heart an evil policy of theft, avarice, greed and sloth.

It is theft from those that produce, avarice on the part of those that create those laws and policies and greed and sloth on the part of those that don’t produce or earn what they receive.

It has been said that those that surrender liberty for security deserve neither.

Of course it has also been said that:

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. And this wisdom:

I put forth that what the democrats are now doing (and have been for years) is patently un-American.

They have created a class of dependent people who are subservient to them. There are generations of people on welfare that have been told repeatedly that they are owed something for the travails of their ancestors. They show their subservience by blindly following a party that strives to keep them poor and panders to their victim mentality and they sell themselves for a pittance like common whores instead of taking responsibility for their lives and working towards a better future for themselves and their country.

The democrats suffocate the germ of virtue, for there is true virtue is honest work, and no virtue in sloth. Now that the people are becoming more dependent the ambitious designs of the democrats coalesce and ever more theft is in the future of this country.

They use the force of law to threaten citizens with prison and more theft in the form of fines and penalties if we stand up to this theft and say no.

Despotism comes next.

So on this Independence Day we should sit back and reflect on what it means to BE an American.

Being an American means so much more than simply living in this country. Being an American is a state of mind. One might say that BEING an American is almost a religion. For a religion is not solely an adherence to some book or belief or non belief in a deity but rather the way one lives their life and the beliefs and actions that guide ones decisions
.
Secular Humanism is a religion. As is adherence to the junk science of global warming, but those are topics for another day and we shall stick to the point of what it takes to BE an American.

There are many people around the world that are Americans at heart, but may never make it to our shores. Conversely there are many people in our great country that do not deserve the title of American.

Americans crave freedom.

Freedom to live their lives as they see fit.

Americans desire Independence.

Independence from tyranny and oppression.

Americans realize that Liberty is the first gift of the Creator and we so love the concept that all men are created equal and have an inalienable right to live in freedom that we have consistently gone to war to secure that freedom for ourselves and others.

Being an American means also being generous, to a point. We have been blessed in this country by our forefathers that sacrificed to build a nation of free men, men that were free to choose their destiny and succeed on their own merits, talents and abilities and this blessing should be shared. But a handout is inherently evil, as opposed to a “:hand up,” and true Americans understand the grace involved in helping our fellow man to become a better person by teaching them to contribute to society, thus bettering all of us, rather than to suckle at the teat of thieving socialist policies.

I have long said that socialism destroys the human spirit. People are like pendulums, and I have found that, generally, as far over on the side of good they can swing they can also go that far on the side of evil. The kindest most generous people I have known have also been the most vindictive when angered. Look at the democrats. They are extremely kind with other peoples’ money and thoroughly evil when it comes to actually getting that money from them, short of actually stabbing them in the street and taking their wallet.

Life is a lot like a pendulum also.

A man that cannot truly fail; I mean end up in the gutter living under a bridge and eating from a trashcan due to socialist policies that guarantee a minimum standard of living is also a man that cannot find the greatest heights of success through his ability. For the system that takes away the possibility of utter and abject failure also must take away the ability to truly succeed simply to take care of those failures and pepper the lower rungs of society.

The death of the human spirit is the only possible outcome of socialism.

They refused to ratify their new EU constitution because it took away too much of their welfare state and now many of them are up in arms about Sarkozy and his seeming adherence to a more conservative approach (read more common sense and personal responsibility and fewer 35 hour work weeks) to governing his whiny and complacent countrymen.

That mindset, the belief in a system of socialism that steals from those that produce to give to those that do not is exactly one of the major reasons our country fought a revolution. Only instead of every citizen being the recipient of that theft it was used for the state only.

King George III got exactly what he deserved. An ass whipping of such epic proportions that 230 some odd years later it is still a sore point with the descendants of his country.
Policies and laws that steal from one to give to another are inherently evil and should be completely against everything an American stands for, but many of our countrymen have gone soft, in the belly and the mind and hold beliefs that advocate exactly those ideals. Guilt and indoctrination from socialist academia and media have turned many of our countrymen, well — stupid.

Independence Day. The day we celebrate the founding of our great country and the ideals that make us uniquely American.

Daniel Webster gave the eulogies for Thomas Jefferson and John Adams (who both died on July 4th, 1826) and he said; "It [the Declaration of Independence] is my living sentiment, and by the blessing of God, it shall be my dying sentiment. Independence now, and independence forever."

This Independence Day reflect on the qualities that make us Americans and know that the forces arrayed against Liberty cannot win so long as we hold true to the principles that our country was founded upon.

Somewhere out in the vastness that is the United States of America there sits a factory. Built in secret by noam chomsky this high tech marvel of idiocy pumps out cloned liberals. Each succeeding generation, it seems, is being refined to drool more, think less and squawk louder.

Case in point is the latest cretin to be unleashed upon the blogosphere, BJ over at breaking dim bulbs. BJ, (who goes by the name billy joe, either because he is trying to get those much sought after redneck creds going or he just likes having his hobby as a nickname) styles himself as the destroyer of the right wing blogosphere.

Umm...yeah..ok.....so far he has called big dog a traitor without backing up that little lie, tried to rag on wild bill (who is completely up front and honest about everything) and now claims that I don't care about the truth because I said I don't care what McCain says one way or another.

McCain is not gonna get the nomination, so he doesn't matter in the race for the oval office.

Billy Joe likes to twist things around and ignore the claims he has made about others. I want to know why this little mattress-thrashing-cum-burping-gutter-slug feels he can lie about people and get away with it, but that answer will never come, as BJ is too busy making stuff up and following his mom in the family business. I understand she has passed along her first set of kneepads to BJ tho, as a gesture of good luck, so maybe he'll be too busy in the future to keep posting lies about his betters.

BTW BJ, let your mom know I caught her show in TJ once and was just wondering.....is she still friends with that donkey?

Dear President Bush, and all of the other "law-makers" that are pushing for an amnesty, I have one major question:

Are you out of your flippin' mind?

Who are you representing anyway?

You know those people that voted for you? The American citizens? Certainly you are not representing them, as the vast majority of them want you to secure the border and ENFORCE our current immigration laws which, by the way, are NOT "broken" but rather simply not in use.

Trying to shove another amnesty down our throats is really pissing us off, and when our reps won't answer their phones, claiming they are overwhelmed on one hand while stating that they are receiving no negative feedback on the other regarding this amnesty we get to see just who the duly elected representatives of this country are really representing.

And it isn't the American citizen.

Now you may think we are powerless to stop you from doing as you please, and will merril;y continue on your way to flood this country with more people that are only after the freebies you hand out at our expense, but I wish to remind you that another George once thought that the American people were powerless to stop him from doing as he pleased.

YOu might wanna call up your buddy Blair in London and ask him how that worked out for old Georgie.

Seriously. Linked in the title is the story of some "day laborers" (which means ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS--people that have snuck into this country ILLEGALLY to work, jumping ahead of countless people that are waiting to come here legally, flaunting our laws and acting with utter impunity) that were picked up on a street corner, tied up and taken and dropped off in Tijuana.

The Sheriff Dept. are investigating it as a kidnapping. I hope they put their laziest detective on this case.

Polls overwhelming show that the American citizens, (you know, us folks that VOTE) want our border secured (as it should be) and people that employ illegal aliens taken to task for their flaunting of the law.

We already let over a million people immigrate here LEGALLY every single year, more than every other country on EARTH allows in legal immigration to their countries every year, and the new amnesty plan being proposed is going to up that number substantially.
We are about to reward people that have to problem ignoring the rules (what makes you think they will suddenly start paying attention to rules and laws now, huh?) and even though the people (read: CITIZENS) have said "don't" our elected ruling class is going to ignore us and do as they wish.

Is it any surprise that someone picked up some illegals and deported them? Our government isn't doing their job.....someone has to do it. I think you will see more of this as things get increasingly tense in the immigration "debate."

As one man put it in a fax to Sen. Feinstein, "if an American citizen worked for case or with a fraudulent SS card, they would be facing jail time. DO these laws not apply to illegals?"

Keep faxing and calling and emailing your reps.....tell them NO AMNESTY. If worse comes to worse I guess we can always form a volunteer INS and start our own deportations, as it seems to government isn't interested in doing the job.

BREATH STRIPS!

Yes....those little cellulose strips that are impregnated with mouthwash have been shredded and placed IN the toothpaste.

Now what a fool I am it seems. I believed that breath strips were to use after a meal when you couldn't brush, or when you were about to put the moves on some girl.

I also believed that toothpaste was to be used to clean teeth and get your breath fresh.

Now I know it is a minor thing, but when you add to a product to another product to make a new and improved product shouldn't that new and improved product do something, well, new and improved?

It seems to me that adding in breath strips to toothpaste is simply useless, kinda' like...well...it seems like such a stupendously stupid idea that I can't seem to find an analogy for it.

Granted it is still not as stupid as letting millions of people sneak into the country and then march to demand non-existent rights, but it is right up there with it.

I wish the democrats were right......

I wish the world could get along......

I wish that all the strife would simply end if we brought everyone
home because then we could make this madness stop.....

I wish we could afford to take care of all the people that needed it.....

I wish we could end hunger, homelessness and disease.....
